i think alot of you are confusing "limited bag of tricks" with "a bag of tricks they do alot"

just because a certain pro does 5 or so tricks all over the place as a stock trick, doesnt mean its all they can do

You are right to some extent. Then again it is pros responsibility to film interesting parts with many tricks in. Lennoce says "fuck that" and fires same four tricks over and over again so it is hard to think that he has a deep bag of tricks.

I never understood why people always say malto has a limited bag of tricks, he kills it in any terrain. I mean yeah, he does a shitload of overcrooks and nollies into grinds for his part and stuff but I still do not understand how his bag of tricks is limited rather than he just showcases a certain side of his skating.

I'm all for Berra hate, but he actually filmed good tricks from time to time. I remember in his TWS pro spotlight a few years ago he had a sequence of a fakie flip tailslide bigspin out on a ledge. That's probably one of the best tricks he ever did and there wasn't ever any footage of it.

bullshit thread, everybody has a bunch of tricks he enjoys and can pull out nearly anywhere, a.e. andrew reynolds and his fs flips, also varial heels and plain kickflips
its rather special to have like xx tricks u can do anywhere, name me one guy, who doesn't have atleast 2-3 signature tricks in any of his parts

if i'd have to name someone, which is, as mentioned, complete bullshit anyway, i'd say greg lutzka
its not just he's always doing the same tricks, but he's always doing them on the same objects with the exact same movement, a typical contest skater

oh yeah and i still enjoy watching lenoce skating, so i do herman's, they skate with style and passion

BUSENITZ!!!!!

are you kidding me?

I'm gonna get some serious shit for this but....Reynolds.

One of my favorite skaters of all time but, fact is fact.

fuck that! dude can do every trick in the book in every stance down anything he wants,
to say he has a small bag(heehee) just because his parts are predominantly filled with frontside flips and his go to tricks is retarded
if u actually watch this is skateboarding or stay gold or any of his parts youll see the boss has everything on lock!

in summary, drew rips and you are a gimp

omar god damn salazar

thank you.

i really don't like hating on people but....omars go to is flailing his arms around like everything he's doing is the craziest trick ever done on a skateboard. that pole jam on the thing in china was legit as fuck, but watch his parts and tell me he wouldn't be one of the easiest pros to replace with a no-name ripper who has bad style but will charge anything

his name and wire climbing skills are cool tho

(i still felt really bad writing this)

that last fifty he did was sick, but the rest just kind of supports my feelings...he's always doing simple and non-technical shit with wild style, honestly i feel like a lot of that shit would not cut it today. i've never seen that ledge gap spot as i'm an east coaster but i feel back fifty back 180 is a ridiculously easy trick when you see stefan back tailing it or whatever he did.

you probably know people who could replicate that part

(still feel bad)

Luis Tolentino, Neen Williams, Andrew Brophy, Josh Harmony

But simplicity isn't a bad thing, and when people say 'limited bag of tricks' it will inevitably evince dudes whose aesthetic includes a more basic or obstacle-centric approach to skating.  There's a lot of stuff going on in skating, and trick selection is just one of them.  And a tasteful trick selection does not have to include lots and lots of tricks, as evidenced by the fact that a lot of peoples' favorite skaters are here on this list and a lot of skaters that everybody talks shit on are not.

Also:

Nollie fs 180
Nollie bs 180
Fakie tre
fs kickflip shifty
bs kickflip shifty
switch fs flip
nollie fs heel

He's got a super deep bag imo.  This isn't including any of the ledge/handrail tricks he's got like kicklip front tails, halfcab heel noseslides, flip noseslides, etc.
