Skating fast is just more fun, and believe it or not makes tricks easier.. When you're going fast you don't want to bail, so you do whatever you can to stay on top. You're momentum is going one way and it's easier to assess when you're going fast

Always prefer a Raybourn/ Busenitz type of skating, as opposed to Sewa Kroetkov/ Wade Desarmo
