The artist formerly known as P. Diddy is at it again. The rapper and producer (real name Sean Combs) has decided to change his name to Swag — for one week. Combs says he established this persona as a way to signal his “comeback.” This isn’t Diddy’s first identity crisis. Over the years, he’s also been called Puffy, Puff Daddy, Diddy Dirty-Money, King Combs and just plain Diddy.

Swag announced the name change on his Twitter on May 19. He has since set up a new Twitter account for his new identity, iamswag.

We can only guess what Diddy will want to be called in a week or so. Perhaps he’ll select a fancy symbol like Prince did back in the day or even some unpronounceable guttural noise coupled with a dance move to identify himself. But please, Swag, we beg you. No more names. We can’t keep up.
