I disagree. People should tell the truth. Kids these days get everything handed to them. Their parents are too anxiety-riddled about being effective and supportive parents that they have no ability to say no. The result is a severe lack of character-defining traumas or crushing disappoints that any well-adjusted adult has had bestowed upon him or her by Mom and Dad.

Bottom line, that kid shouldn't have a video camera or a computer. Whoever filmed that should have kicked the shit out of him for touching the ground with both hands before (barely) doing a fakie three flip on flat.

He doesn't even know that he should be embarrassed because no one has ever said "no" to him. Let's hope for his sake that he gets run over at the bottom of a skatepark hip by a retired pro in a safari hat.

no, blame the parents. nobody wants to hurt their precious little snowflake's feelings, so they'll tell a fat kid he can run marathons, or a legally blind kid that he can be a jet pilot. then when the kid gets a dose of reality, they break down. learning to handle your own limitations and disappointment is a huge part of growing up.
