When I was a little kid somebody told me that if you send pictures of you skating to vans they give you free shoes and it was called being sponsored. I didn't even understand what sponsorship was or why companies do it and thought he was lying, but I could easily see a kid just going for it, especially considering technology has made computers and cameras far more accessible to kids, you bitter old fucks.
