Reviews ain't looking pretty.  All the promos and previews I've seen make the game look annoying and unfunny as fuck too.  I'll still probably get it.

I remember playing Duke Nukem 3D on the 64 when I was a kid, so I was interested in getting this. But pretty much everyone says its crap.

No they didn't, 3d realms spent 2 years making the game (1999-2001) and 9 years sticking their heads in each others asses. Its known that the development team literally did nothing but collect money and cheer themselves on to continue collecting money from some publisher who had seriously questionable intelligence..

In the last year or so 3d realms went bankrupt, liquidized its assets and Gearbox bought the game in its terrible and unfinished state. That fact that Gearbox could even pull a WORKING game out of the mess that 3d Realms made is a testament to them as a developer, but nothing could save duke nukem forever from being a piece of shit FOREVER.

I was looking forward to this game until I saw a couple of video reviews and realised it looked cack. I liked the nostalgic references to Duke 3D such as the Cycloid Emperor, but unfortunately the rest of the game looks wayyyy too bad to make me want to part with my money.

ive played the first couple of levels so far and its not as bad as you guys say, but its not that good either. its definitely a bit harder than the other game and wtf is up with the load times? i have never played a game that loads this slow before

haha i know , the load times do not reflect the quality of the graphics

I just played the demo, and can only agree with everyone here that this game is fucking horrible

frame rate drops every 20-30 seconds, and the graphics aren't even good. Aiming and gameplay mechanics seem clunky and just terrible when combined with the frame rate issues.

Highlights included:

- Pissing in the urinal
- Drawing a hat and boobs on that monster on the white board
- lol'ing after beating that first boss and the twins getting up from giving duke a BJ.

"12 fucking Years it better be good"

Glad theres someone that gets it. Gearbox is a legit developer and even though this game isnt "epic" people should still be hyped they even managed to finish something everyone thought would never be finished.
