NBA and NFL players with millions of dollars may be able to get away with crazy shit from time to time but not early to mid 90's pro skaters with no money or mainstream fame. Also you can't seriously believe that Swindell would take the fall for him, it isn't the movies.

When Henry Sanchez used to post here he stated that he was there on the night and Danny Way was nowhere near the incident and had absolutely nothing to do with it.

Are you fucking stupid or intentionally ignorant? There are newspaper articles posted here that make it clear as day that Danny was there, and involved in the incident, even if he didn't kill the guy. It was a result of an incident involving him, his anger and homophobia (he did punch the guy out according to the published LA times article).
Nothing is more pathetic than people defending assholes that they don't know because they are celebrities.

Look inside of a skate magazine. Look at the advertisements. Advertisements are a huge aspect of a magazine's income. 99.9% of ads in skate magazines are of the companies and people that sponsor the riders being covered and interviewed. If a company feels their riders are not being covered positively, they may potentially stop paying for advertising space. The richer a rider's sponsors and the more important that rider is to those companies, the more likely the company will react negatively to the negative press.
Danny Way invented the mega ramp and is the top dog on some major companies. The skate press will NEVER dare tell the truth about him. The messageboards will, then the mags will call us haters for not being corporate whore pussies who hide uncomfortable truths. Of course, we have also posted LA times articles, which the mags can't do to contradict us.

Speaking of, dude did the sickest thing a pro has ever done at our public park... I think he was living in NOLA at the time, but he and basically everyone from Carroll, Howard, Steamer and Koston and a bunch of ams (they were driving back from Florida), everyone was killing and having a good time, and before they left Brian picked up every beer can and piece of litter and threw 'em away. I thought that was just the best shit... I thanked him for what he did and he thanked us for having them. Carrol thanked us for having them over too... all of us were "Thank us? LOLWUT?"
