The Koston 1 review is online. Hope you'll like it.
Constructive criticism is as always welcome.

"The shoe was close to the end of usability when the picture was taken"? Those look like most of my shoes after they've been skated for like 2 weeks.

There is more Bieber coverage on Slap than one would expect from a bunch of manboys arguing the minutiae of rollerboard stunts. Actually now that I type that it kinda makes sense.

they look like shit after a week. do you only do kickfliptricks?

I have a nice suggestion:
the first thing you do is try 100 kickflips or something like that and take a picture of the shoe after the kickflips.
If you do that with every shoe, you can compare the toe cap durability of the shoes fairly.(all with a fresh board off course otherwise it still isn't fair.) After that you just go skate em for a week and sew em in half and shit

How does that sound?

keep it real bro  Cool

you obviously have no notion of how money is made.  i'd like to see ben gore get hooked up as much as the next guy, but you can't blame it on koston.

I thought about stuff like that as well, the basic idea being to make my skating more "compareable". I realised though that it is basically impossible if you aren't using maschines like the "kickflip-machine" at the soletech lab. I can't afford to buy a new deck every time I start a new review, sometimes a deck breaks during a review and I have to buy a new one, the griptape makes such a big difference. That's why i stopped counting the hours as well and overanalise them. "model A had a hole after 25 hours, model B after 23, model A is more durable than B" simply doesn't work.

And last but not least, and most importantly: I want to skate like I want to, if I stop trying to skate switch, never skate a miniramp anymore because it doesn't wear down the shoes as much or stop doing 360 flips if I want to do them because the front wears down faster, it takes the fun out of skateboarding for me...

A text version doesn't work out too good, I tried it. If I use wordpress it destroyes the complete layout and the posts get super long and are hard to read. I'm planning to rework the layout and design of the site soon, it look soso right now...basically it sucks how it looks to be honest, but I don't have the time to get into website building and do it myself and no money to pay somebody for it, so I need to wait until some of my friends can help me out with it for free.

in which case what do you think about this, regrip your board before every review so that they all have to withstand the same levels of grippyness, and instead of 10 kickflips try 100 ollie norths because theyre prety wearing on the front foot, also as far as going about your normal skating this test would only take about an hour. either way your reviews are really good and i actually read the reviews of shoes i wouldnt even concider buying just because i find it interesting
