mini ramp specs

looking to build a miniramp this fall at the place i'm moving into was looking for information about transition specs.
the general plan is a 3.5' tall tamp 10-15 feet wide, but i don't know what to do for tranny. everyone skating it will be street skaters, so i'm thinking a bit more mellow transition, but i'm afraid of making it too mellow and it not being fun. any recommendations?
also, are 5' sections alright? i've read that 4' is optimal and 6' is pushing it, so we're thinking either 3 5' sections or 2 6' sections width wise

good rule of thumb is your transition should be twice the height of the ramp, so 3.5 would be 7 feet. 6 feet make a tighter trans and 8 feet would make it more mellow.

About a 7' transition is a good starting point. Why not use the whole sheet and make it 3'8.5" (a 2x4, which you'll use for flatbottom, is really 3.5") high? Also assuming you're in the U.S., plywood sheets are 4' wide, so it would make sense to have it either 12 or 16 feet wide. I'd only build an extension if the ramp is at least 16 wide.

appreciate the tips. will probably do 3'8.5" and will do 7.25' - 7.5' transition.
