I wonder if it will become commonplace to do this in the states. I heard that McDonald's already does it in Germany.

They had beer in Mc Donalds in Barcelona when I was there.

If they tried selling it here in the UK things would go horribly wrong.

Coffee shops/Chinese restaurants in particular around here tend to do it pretty frequently, especially with local brews.

I like the idea, but the only time I ever get fast food nowadays, I'm drunk already. But I'm being selfish, there's millions of parents out there who just want a cold one while their kids are screaming and fighting over who gets the purple Transformer toy.

Nah not in the UK, we're too close to Ireland, things could get messy. I was in Greece last week and it was pretty common to get a few beers in with your chicken and chips haha

I cant believe they dont sell beer in mcdonalds in the states. I mean, Mcdonalds is your thing right? Why in spain they have always sold beer? I remember going to mcdonalds with my parents, I had a happy meal and they had beer after beer. It doesnt seem that much of a big deal to me.

most kebab-shops, delis and "restaurants" sell alcohol, but not all mcdonalds and BKs. for instance I tried getting a beer at the Berlin hauptbahnhof. i didnt get one.
