How do I add a picture as a layer.

I tried to put a dog in my roomate's hand but it looked hella lame...

So I was going to put a butterfly and have it flying out of her hand instead.

OK, so I downloaded a picture of a butterfly, and I have it sitting there on my desktop.

I thought that by simply switching to the "Move" tool, clicking, dragging an dropping the image

to my project would create a new layer. Unfortunately, It isn't doing crap.

It just opens a new window.

Please help. I have a basket of gnars to give for any advice...

Yeah buddy, that's my hippy roommate Jessica

Luckily I gave Erminda a call and she helped me with my problem.

No, ola I did not have sexual relations to receive help from her.

Thanks SLAPPERS who came and offered or planned to offer help.

Got it all working finally
