I'm Canadian and I hope nash makes the right choice and it's
not
going to the raptors. He's at the age to go find team that is in the ring running for the next few years. Plus The guy is going to be a major piece to any team not just sitting on the bench.
I agree. He can be the "Canadian ambassador for the NBA" when he retires. I remember reading him saying he's interested in the Knicks because his current home is in NY. He can orchestrate the offense for Melo & Amare as well as be a mentor to Jeremy Lin. As I said earlier this year, Miami could be an option as well but I'm sure they're more focused on getting Ray Allen and/or a good big man. If I were Nash I'd go to the Knicks or the Mavs to be reunited with Dirk, as they (hopefully) surround them with some good young talent.
I like Dwight but he's on some bullshit with all his drama. I was utterly disgusted when I saw that press conference where Van Gundy called him out and he came in and tried to stunt, puttin his arm over his shoulder and all that. Fake ass nigga! He shoulda just opted for free agency instead of picking up that 1 year option to avoid the public scrutiny, which obviously didn't work. If he does get traded it'll be to the Lakers or Nets.
A backcourt of Deron Williams & Joe Johnson is great for the Nets. JJ will play better as a No.2 to Williams. He's just gotta catch the ball and finish whatever play Williams sets up. Along with Wallace (one of my favorite players) they have a chance to make a big surge in the East if they add a few solid complimentary players.
However, the Raptors signed Landry Fields to a 3 year offer sheet today. They did this because they want Fields, and because it has been reported that a potential sign and trade with the Knicks and Suns would happen, with Nash going to the Knicks and Fields going the other way.

Never really had a opinion on Dwight for the past few years but this season i was seriously pissed off at his utter disrespect to his team and fans and lack of aggression in games. Plus every fucking day leading up to trade deadline having to hear about him being unhappy behind close doors and then to the media all smiles and not wanting to be the bad guy. I mean the magic lost Shaq and got nothing for it and then Hardaway not being the all star he used to be due to that shitty knee, the magic need to get something this time around. Rumor is Andrew Bynum and Metta World Peace to the magic. Is Ewing still involved with magic big men? cause if this trade goes down he could help Bynum out a lot.
Realistically straight up team for team its not bad getting Bynum who was a all star last season, the guy can be a punk but still gets shit done. I hope there is a 3rd party team putting in a few more pieces. If it is straight team to team at least the magic are going to be a whole lot tougher up front.

Williams signs a 5 year, $98 million contract with the Nets. Williams' decision comes a day after the Nets agreed to a deal with Atlanta for All-Star guard Joe Johnson, and amid reports they are still hoping to make a deal with Orlando for Dwight Howard. The Nets also have agreed to a four-year, $40 million contract with forward Gerald Wallace, a three-year, $15.6 million deal with Bosnian forward Mirza Teletovic and a three-year, $5 million deal with forward Reggie Evans, who was acquired in a sign-and-trade agreement with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Suns also have had meetings this week with Michael Beasley and Goran Dragic, I liked Dragic when he came off the bench for the suns a few years back. I wonder if Brooks is sticking around or will both fight for the starter role when Nash gets his move on.

eric gordon said his heart is in phoenix so im hoping NO will be willing to do a sign and trade and get some dudes like brooks and our new pg from this year's draft. after all it doesnt make too much sense to sign a guy with a history of injuries who said he doesnt want to play for you while you have the next big thing with anthony davis. AB is a pretty good player and marshall is a past first pg who could help davis and back up rivers

The same is being said for the Knicks as well
Quote
Nash and the Knicks are in the critical stages of discussions on a three-year deal worth between $27 million-$30 million to be executed through a sign-and-trade deal with the Suns. The Knicks would send rookie guard Iman Shumpert and multiple players ? including Toney Douglas ? to Phoenix for Nash, sources said.
Nash, a two-time MVP, has been enthusiastic about joining the Knicks? core of Carmelo Anthony, Tyson Chandler and Amar?e Stoudemire.
? The Knicks also intend to match any offer restricted free-agent point guard Jeremy Lin receives.
It'd be a good move for either team (although I'd like to see Shumpert stay in NY due to his defensive prowess) but I think the Lakers would need to trade Gasol+ for Michael Beasley and add some more solid bench players for them to get back to their former dominance. I think Nash would be a good locker room compliment for Kobe as well, but could also do wonders for the Knicks offense. Ima be cool if he goes to either team but I think the Suns would be more likely to trade to NY because the players they are offering seem to be much more valuable than some Lakers Draft Picks that aren't gonna be high at all.

they'd trade multi-player packages but essentially, yes. the lakers have shown interest in beasley & the wolves have done the same for gasol. Pau isn't getting any younger, and Beasley has TONS of potential he just needs to mature & bring his A-Game every night. I'm sure Kobe could straighten em up if necessary & the Lakers could definitely use a young, athletic scorer to bring some more energy to the team.

WOW I guess that Nash sign & trade to the Lakers really is goin down! Possible talks of Nash convincing Grant Hill to join as well. If they get 1 or 2 more guys (preferably a young defensive guard and/or foward) I can see them making it to the Western Conference Finals next year. I'm not sure if they're gonna trade Gasol with the addition of Nash but as of right now they have one of the most experienced/talented starting 5's in the league. Here's the NBA.com link for more info

Great. No one was going to trade a 7 foot finesse player with a mid range jumper for a 4th year small forward pothead who has yet to find his place in the league.

Even with Parise and Suter going to the Wild, barely anything is happening at all. And the Raptors trade for Kyle Lowry, in exchange for Gary Forbes and a protected first round pick.

Jason Kidd to New York
Jamall Crawford & Chauncey Billups to the Clippers
Hasheem Thabeet to OKC
Jeremy Lin to the Rockets if NY doesn't match the offer
Free Agency poppin off this year! Lots of very good moves.

I love that Minnesota has new life, it's shitty to think how good they could have been in the late 90's with KG, Marbury and Tom Gugliotta was killing it to. I hope Rubio can come back strong and knock down the 17 to 18 footer more often, but the guy can control a game none the less. Brandon Roy is a big welcome back hope those knees hold up.
Wonder if anyone is interested in Oden? Dude is a big monster but those bones are made of glass.

damn, can't believe Ray's going to The Heat. they look like an All-Star team now.
this is pretty funny though.
the Mavericks have taken so many L's this offseason. first they lose Jason Terry to Boston, then they fail to acquire Steve Nash and now they also lose Jason Kidd. Dirk needs help bad!
(i like how all those other players in the drawing ^ are trying to lure Dwight to go to their team. the NBA's all about super-teams now. all the lil scrub teams are fucked.)
Orlando and D12 close to a deal?

Marcus Camby to the Knicks
Also there's some proposed 4 team trade to send Dwight to Brooklyn. Could be a bust tho depending on if guys like Kris Humphries agree to the sign & trade or not.
Quote
In the proposed deal, Howard, Jason Richardson and Earl Clark would be sent to Brooklyn, and the Magic would receive the Nets? Brook Lopez, Damion James, Shelden Williams, Cleveland?s Luke Walton and three future first-round picks, sources said. Cleveland would receive Orlando?s Quentin Richardson, Brooklyn?s Sundiata Gaines, Kris Humphries (on a one-year guaranteed deal), a first-round pick and $3 million from the Nets. Brooklyn also would send [MarShon] Brooks to a fourth team to get them an additional first-round pick to send to the Magic.
