I don't get Flip. Keep penny forever for doing nothing, keep Boulala while he's in jail, but if Bastien wants to chill and play guitar he's out, and this kid wasn't producing enough so he's out too, though I guess he is an am. Still don't get the Boulala/Bastien/Penny thing.

Penny and Boulala are legends though and have been on since the beginning pretty much, I'm sure thats why. Honestly Bastien is legend status now too. I heard Flip kicked off Bastien because he was spitting in peoples faces at skate shops and acting like a complete asshole at demos and shit, which is nothing new to professional skateboarding. Geoff has a temper too I figured he'd understand, shit he's punched Templeton and Phelps amongst others over the years. Flip should just suck it up and get Bastien back on, it'd be the best move for both of them.

I heard from friends who know the dude who got spit on that it went down like that. Bastien got in an argument with a shop worker was like "do you know who I am" and the dude said I do but I don't care and he spit in his face, I guess he was high or drunk or something. I'm sure Bastien is overplaying the whole el toro thing, I mean its not like kickflip back lip down el toro was impossible for him at the time, he fucking kickflip front boarded that 16 when he was 17, I mean whats the next step? All those dudes at flip were getting gnarly, Bastien was doing kickflip backlips like they were nothing down 12 stairs someone probably just came up in conversation "maybe you should try that down el toro" but he didn't get kicked off because he wouldn't kickflip back lip el toro, that is a fact.

The Bastien thing has been pretty well covered.  He was acting out just like a disgruntled teenager will do, and Flip's TM was taking him to gnarly rails and gaps every night, just like the TM of a blood sucking skateboard company will do.  Feelings were caught, and they both went their separate ways.  Now, Bastien still rips and is enjoying a lower pressure role at Jart, Flip's graphics still suck and they are happily exploiting a new batch of young foreign lads.
