I don't know, I guess we're all hoping he grows up a little and gets his shit together. It's cool to see industry dudes backing him in here, hopefully he rekindles the fire and makes another run at it.

Man he needs to get some decent attention, that's for sure. I feel like flip was just collecting, collecting and collecting. Then when he didn't have enough bangers they decide to kick him? I don't get it, he clearly has the talent so when he left all his sponsors I was really confused. I've met him a couple times because I used to live in Iowa, right in between Iowa City and Cedar Rapids, and he's way better than anyone gives him credit for. He throws down crazy tech tricks on literally anything you put him in front of and he's been doing it since he was a little kid. I think someone needs to pick him up and give him some immediate footy. You know...just like put out a mini-part in the next video or something instead of just flying him all over the world to skate like flip did.

Exactly! He can film crazy shit whenever he wants...he's just kind of...well...lazy  Tongue But when you're that good you can afford to be lazy. Yeah, I mean, I wish he would take his career a little more serious...but what can you do? Bottom line, skate companies need to understand that sometimes you get someone like Fletch, who just wants to hang, skate, and have fun with his homies. They need to learn to deal with guys like that...not just drop them when they aren't being mega productive. Not everyone is like Ryan Sheckler or Chaz Ortiz (btw, not hating, those guys are sick. just saying they have a different mindset to skating)

I guess Flip is underestimating Eric's ability, thinking that he can't put in work or produce footy. He's fully capable of getting great-looking footage in a short amount of time, but Flip is blind to see that. If they had a little more faith in the boy, then they would have seen that the wait was worth it.

I've been singing the praises of this kid ever since I saw that Mobbed Mafia part like two years. Super good style, does tech tricks but isn't boring. What more could you want?

lol the funny part of all this is I used to live right in the middle of his two favorite stomping grounds...before I could have just stopped by the CR park or IC park and probably ran into him...then asked him what his plans were....now I'm 8 hours away  Roll Eyes I also could have got some great footy of him a long while back. I had plans to make a skate video at one point and was pretty psyched on it. When I first met Fletch, I asked him if he wanted to film a part for it and he was totally down with it...then I got distracted by this thing called life...and I never filmed it  Grin

I see your point. Thing is, one of the most important things about being a skateboarder is being able to market yourself. Penny/Boulala are marketing geniuses, you see.
