This is a tricky one... Those Krooked Zip Zingers are what those in-duh-stry types call a 'hybrid'... Half cruiser half trick set up. Big soft rounded wheels with a longer deck, but comes with a double kick and wide Thunder trucks. We had em in the shop for awhile and they ain't half bad. For a half normal half ghey set up anyway. Longboard though, it sure as fresh hell; ain't.

Rollerblading is more like skateboarding than longboarding is. That being said, they're both pretty stupid in comparison. Theres no feeling like the one where you battle a trick for an hour and finally pull it off, I don't think any activity has more gratification than that.

Last year I pointed out a little Asian girl on a longboard to a friend and predicted a humorous outcome as she started to roll down a hill on my school's campus with her feet planted wider than her shoulders like she was trying to stay upright in a hurricane. She got to the bottom of the hill as classes let out and collided with a guy's shoulder, he didn't budge, she flew backwards. Skateboarding is illegal on campus now due to the land canoes.

Edit: I really don't have a problem with longboards being used for things that skateboards can't, like bombing mountain roads that go on for ten minutes.

The whole culture just rubs me the wrong way.

Not to mention most of them CAN'T PUSH.  80% of people I see on campus riding longboards put their whole foot down to push.  I honestly don't see why they can't bike if they're gonna slow themselves down every 5 seconds. 

But all in all, I don't hate longboarding.

That Zip Ziiiiiiinger is 35.75 inches. Where does skateboard end and longboard begin? Back in the 10x30 days, 32" was considered mid-sized, now it's standard if not on the short side.

longboards suck because you cant ollie on them. plain & simple

this is why i ride oldschool boards with longboard wheels.
its for filming mostly but i really enjoy doing tricks on it and bombing hills.
