I recently stumbled upon this movie http://www.quiseralemaitre.com which is a strange presentation of a discussion about skateboarding.

WHICH IS TO BE THE MASTER? (english subtitles) Small | Large

If you have the time and patience to watch this, I highly recommend it.  It is available in French with English subtitles.  It describes skateboarding in the way that I'm sure everyone has tried to so many times, but I have never seen it articulated so perfectly.  The discussion explains the whole interaction with architecture and environment aspect without falling into the "skateboarding is an art cliche."  And the dude who plays the part of the author, has actually published books on the subject:  http://www.amazon.fr/conjonction-interdite-Notes-sur-skateboard/dp/2916796037 I would love to read a translated version.

For real, all around great. Started my day off with it. Hoping to skate, clouds but nice and dry, and it starts to snow. The explanation of a parallel world for skaters, "passion", and way the story all come together, is awesome.

Red shirt's name is Guillaume Noyelle.  Has anyone heard of him?  I want to see more.  He has an awesome style.

No problem, I'm just glad others enjoyed it.
