Top 3 favorite shoes ever.
YES! it's amazing that vans never rereleased them/ kept them in production esp. considering their popularity for a few years there.
i probably had 6-7 pairs of them.
*longs for the days when rowley was still vegan*

look i love a puffy cuspole my favorite ever were the gray cardiels with the yellow airbubble best shoe i ever skated. that being said boat shoes are fucking awesome to skate in. even real boat shoes, like perry topsiders. u gotta wear the rubber down for a day till it really starts to grip.
i hope this is coherent i am super intoxicated.

i dunno, i'm gunna go out on a limb and say people who don't support the slaughter of animals
i doubt you will find many people who would have anything bad to say about ed templeton 1s and rowley 1s and neither of those shoes were suede.

canvas rips like paper when skated. im sure most people would agree with me that if they could only skate one kind of material from now on it would be suede. i see where you comin from talkin about animal slaughter but i really only gotta problem with that in the food industry n shit like that. niggas been wearin leather kicks for centuries

It's like the early-mid 90's again with skate shoes; everybody's skating both vulc and cupsoles.

this is true. i don't mind either way, but it's always nice to be able to have a choice in the matter.

while searching for a pic ed's first shoe on america i came across this:
http://ellwangen.blogspot.com/2011/12/vegetarianism-in-skateboard-scen.html
nice archive of some legendary non-leather shoes.
i've owned quite a few of them (the ed 1s, the rowleys, the etnies valley's, the JT adios) over the years but never got to try out 'sheep' so i'm stoked for the upcoming e's rerelease. also missed the boat on zero twos back in the day but i doubt they even got distribution outside of the US.

There needs to be more skate shoes that use straps instead of laces. DC made a pair about 10 years ago that were ugly as hell (like most of their shoes) and one of the Team Handsome doods had some retarded dress shoes made, but a decent looking pair of laceless skate shoes is yet to happen. Think about it: no laces to rip in the first place. Seems like a no-brainer.

I used to have these "Vans Syndicates" or something like that, I think they were the Gabe Morford pro model, which is kind of funny. The point is, they were made out of some super super durable rubbery material, I don't even know what it was. they lasted sooo long.
