Us british skaters don't have it on a plate for us. The weather is 70% of the time shity and there is little good spots around. It's a totally different thing alltogether. Therefore british skaters that do become professional or big are that good because they have went through a rougher journey.

To be fair i don't think he has the best style in the world but the first broadcast part is nice to watch.

American skating is clearly on a different level trick wise. But does that mean anything apart from getting to wear a mountain dew logo? I dunno, it just so happens that vids like lost and found and waiting for the world are the vids I always go back to. I can't say i've been feeling that many american vids since after the ninties. Still I live in nz, were skating is probably more similar to england (think shit ground, shit spots....)

where i live, winter is antarctica and summer is the hottest stuffiest tropical heat you can imagine and literally unskateable heat in the summer sometimes.

i love blueprint, plus lost & found was a huge influence on me since i was young. all im saying is its not hard to see the difference in the level of abilities in british skaters vs americans. its huge.

people always blame the fucking weather and spots for there level of success or skill and im tired of it

theres plenty of dudes in your area that blow mark baines out of the fucking water, i could do countless tricks dude has documented since he was pro... and i dont get to skate a huge portion out of the fucking year, and im not just saying i could do the tricks and theyd be all shitty & sloppy.

Of course its going to be easier to get good if its always dry and youve got smooth spots all over the place. Were lucky if we can skate more than a couple days a week due to rain, then when we finally do get to skate, its through puddles, over brick/grit with cracks everywhere.
