I've only owned one pair but they felt stiff, never really broke in and the material felt weird too, almost waxy.  The logo/brand image is pretty hick too.  The team is sick but that's about it.

Yay. Dickies are great. They're older than God and have inadvertently been a part of skate culture since forever. Glad that they're noticing. And Dickies pants make for awesome cut-off shorts (no daisy duke).

The EU has always had Dickies as a skate board affiliated brand.  Glad that the US marketing side finally started to pick up on it.  I'd wear them even if the never sponsored skaters, but this is just icing on the cake.  And unlike other 'skate brands' they're mad cheap!  You won't find me in anything other than the pants though.

You say that like it's a bad thing.  It's an American company that started in Texas that's closing in on a century of being in business.  They are just good pants in my opinion but I can also relate to the Dickies branding a hell of a lot more than the beatnik-male-yoga-pants horseshit that you see everywhere.

as much as id love to skate dickies again like i did back then with my jrhigh uniform, i know they wont last me a week because of the constant shit eating i go through at any session.
maybe if i were any good that'd be a different story, or if their fabric was thicker.
im still stoked for the team and down for them, but ill stick to my 501's.

The feeling of broken in Dickies is something you cant even describe, the process of breaking them in is another story...i kinda don't like the idea of them becoming a skate brand or even having a skate division but if a few dudes who kill it like Greco get some free pants/hoodies/tees maybe even a check that's dope, Just don't expect me to buy "The Dickies Video" Note to self: need more dickies once i get out of this semi baggy jeans phase

The strongest pants I've ever had - blown the crotch out on everything else except 874's.

Go up one size (at least) in the waist and then tailor the pant below the knee right to the ankle if the opening is too big.
Even if you paid a pro to sew them up, you've still saved loads compared to any other 'skate denim' and you get a perfect fit.
