been debating getting on the dickies program for a while now, but i can only ever find the huge ones. not that i wish to have skin tight ones, but i do like a pretty slim fitting pant. rumor has it that those altamont davis' are a good alternative, but i just don't see myself handing out $100 for some chinos that will rip the first time i fall. suggestions?

I was stressin on the wide leg openings when I got my first couple pair but if you wash them 2-3 times they snug up a lot and they're a lot softer also. a ton more affordable and not to mention more room for your legs and more breathability than any 'chinos' I've ever owned. Not to mention a couple colors and or fits for all under $30

Huh What the hell are you talking about? They're 56 bucks. Still pretty expensive but they're good.

if you're ripping dickies you should be scientifically researched because that shouldn't be possible.

I live on a peninsula on the west coast of canada, no skate shops. you can pretty much increase your american price by seventy-five percent on anything skate related, and get the cost of what we have to pay for the goods up here as well. our wal-mart's offer a fraction of the stuff that is available in the states as well. we pretty much only got the fat bus driver dickie's up here but, i'll have to investigate the style numbers and all that next time i'm at the mark's work world.

as much as id love to skate dickies again like i did back then with my jrhigh uniform, i know they wont last me a week because of the constant shit eating i go through at any session.
maybe if i were any good that'd be a different story, or if their fabric was thicker.
im still stoked for the team and down for them, but ill stick to my 501's.

so whats greco gonna do when he wants to be all johnny thunders again?
he'll have to sow the fuck out of them pants, diy style like a dirty crusty

Real pants talk -- I got my first pair of 501s freshman year of high school, about a decade ago. 501s have been my go-to fit whenever I need a new pair of jeans ever since.

If you're so poor you live off salt noodles, you should hit up thrift stores for clothes and invest in actual food.  Meat, fruits and veggies aren't even that expensive.

As for awesome pants, I saw some Joe Fresh ladies "boyfriend cut" chinos on a clearance rack at the grocery store.  Perfect slim fit, yet stretchy, nice dark tan shade.. I'm so bummed there was only one pair left.

I found some "slim-fit" dickies with partial elastic waist at wal-mart for $20 a pair. Much less starch than the original styles. They basically feel like very broken in slim-fits.

i had a pair of those once and they were rad. here's the deal. dickies slim straights are the best. they're not too tight, but not baggy at all. however, for the slimmer amongst us, there is a black/charcoal skinny they make. when i made my last order, i got a couple pairs of the skinny's cause i couldn't remember whether i liked the slim or skinny's. well, the skinny's fit close on the leg like a muhfucka, so i haven't worn them since and will probably sell them shits to a kid or something, but if you want them and you want them cheap, here's a link to the skinny's for 25 bucks:

http://www.dickies.com/mens-clothing/mens-pants/Skinny-Straight-Fit-Work-Pant-WP801.jsp

here's the slim straights:

http://www.dickies.com/mens-clothing/mens-pants/Slim-Straight-Work-Pant-WP873.jsp

get em bois!

Just bought two pairs of straight leg 874 pants from Wal-Mart and I'm hyped on em. I don't see why some people aren't happy with them.
