his old company was JART Skateboards.
good to see him on a real skatecompany, not on a brand that manufactures wooden furniture.
that in mind pops would be a good fit for jart.

this ad is to sick!

Its like a friendlier more european version of and old World Industries ad.

Stoked for Jan, Pontus and everyone else involved, this is a good move.

sick! stoked for him. Polar is rad.

Pontus including the letter from the Jart TM in that press release seems like something Rocco would have done in a World ad.

This guy is still skating? I thought he was sort of drifting away into post-pro life. I love Polar and I trust Pontus' judgement.

I would but it's hard to support the new Euro companies in the states so far.  Pretty much nobody is selling Palace shit in USA yet.

I love his Bon Apetit footage, that movie really altered my perspective on skateboarding.  I've got to dust that off tonight.

Polar is pretty hyped around here (Denmark) because of Hjalte, so I have seen the boards around a lot - super hyped on it actually being skated. Not like many other Euro brands that never makes it out into the hands of people who actually skates.

The boards seems a little thicker than most of the other boards out, not much and not a bad thing. They are stil 7 plys though. And they are not Dwindle made as far as I know - It's produced by Trap, which actually makes really great boards and especially wheels! All of the guys skating them have been stoked and have picked up another one. They are not chopstick-wood and doesn't delaminate.

If you are so down for Polar that you are ready to order from Europe, im sure these guys will ship over seas.

Oh, and pay around 100 dollars for a deck, which all decks costs around here haha.

First line, savage.  Good to see him off the lamentable vortex of lameness that is Jart, if even they do pay well.

You don't know much about production do you?
Trap gets their boards, and prints them in Germany... where do you think the boards come from?
Norwegian Woods?

They didn't seem pissed to being with, they seemed like they wanted him to stick around for a couple of months to try and liquidate some of his boards. I also don't know much about too many Euro brands other than Antiz, Magenta, cliche (do they even count anymore?), Palace/Blueprint/Landscape/Heroin and Fabric. I assume that Jart is like the element of Europe?
