My old blazer's are almost done, so I'm deciding between three high tops for my next ones.

Which ones have better ankle support?  I kinda want the dunk hi's because of the higher ankle support but blazers are cheaper and have better board feel.

and what are the pros and cons to campus hi?

thanks in advance!

I never had dunk his. but I've had blazers and campus his.
I liked both of them a lot but there was almost too much padding around the ankle of the campus which i couldn't get used to, so i cut them down a little bit. I prefer the blazers unless you like more padding. that's just my opinion.

I've had campus lows, and it's the exact same problem, except worse, because the padding actually made the shoe fall off my feet all the time

3 different shoes...

i feel that the dunk highs are an awesome cup with the most minimal board feel out of the 3 shoes mentioned. campus highs have a good vulc sole with a lot of board feel. the blazers have a cup sole with more of a vulc board feel so the blazers would be a happy medium between the 3.

Fuck it, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I'll stick with blazers, they're pretty awesome.

not trying to hi-jack the thread but how is the board grip on dunks?  i've been looking to get a pair but the pattern on the bottom makes me think it's kinda slippery?

I've had two pairs of dunk lows, and they're alright once you break em in.

did they add better ankle support?  That's kinda my main concern right now.  the grip for both blazers and dunks are fine by me, but if the dunk hi's have significantly better ankle support, I might go with them

They do. Especially if you lace higher up. I have had a couple pairs of both and the dunks for sure. They lock in your heel better too.

I don't know your budget because the pricepoint on the dunks is higher but they're both solid choices.

The price is the only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger.  the cheapest dunk highs i can find are 80 bucks...

Has anyone even rolled their ankles in Blazer's before?  I lace them up pretty tight, but I can still imagine myself twisting it if I land on it wrong

Yeah but I've rolled them in dunks too. I'd say especially if you're just going to immediately skate and shred these to save yourself some cash and get blazers.

question on blazers, is there a huge difference between high and mid blazers?  They pretty much look the same to me other than the toe box

Yeah there is. The SB blazers are higher than the action blazers with the lunarlon. Height isn't always the most important factor in ankle support though, how locked in your foot is definitely helps. I've had good luck with even busenitz for support, but the SB blazer hi's are definitely better in terms of little-to-no foot movement.

sigh...deciding on shoes is a bitch when you have bad ankles  Embarrassed

What I'll most likely do is get a mid top nike shoe with lunarlon, while wearing light ankle braces.

thanks for the help pancakes
