REAL Low Pro

I'm not even gonna bother with the "testimonials" they have up on the Real / dlx website because they're reviewing a brand new deck.
Anyone had a deck for a while? What's the pros and cons to this deck? I'm currently skating a Real renewal deck and it's alright, but it seems to be on the heavier side for some reason. So sooner or later I'm gonna switch to one of the more popular Real decks. Is the low pro a good choice?

I skated one from October til early this month. Wonderful board. Felt brand new longer than any other board I've had in a long as time. It's a back up now since I couldn't wait to skate this Magenta I've got now.

Theyre amazing. I got one the day they came into my local shop. I'm on my 2nd one now. The pop is truly better and undeniable.

it's funny how inconsistent the board manufacturing process really is.
I weighed my decks (don't ask)
Two Real boards, both size 8.125 x 32.
Lowpro: 47~ ounces
Standard R1?: 43~ ounces
I'm like, duh fuck? I mean, it's not really a huge deal, but it just shows you how random wood can be.
That said, I'm riding a low pro right now. It's good; I have no complaints, but don't expect a huge difference.

ok, yeah I guess we can't expect the wood to just have consistent density deck to deck. I guess shape is my primary concern.

I've had four low-pros. And I don't think I can skate anything else, they're honestly amazing decks. I used to be in love with R1 construction, but after skating the low-pros, what they advertised honestly did prove itself. It's incredible, thats what I love about it. No frills, just thrills. I highly suggest you try them, they're really good decks. I hope that REAL just keeps making them, I don't want to skate anything else but Low-Pros.

well, I never said it makes big difference.
However, I hear quite a bit of talk about how X trucks are lighter than Y trucks and yadda-yadda
The fact is you'll never save 4 ounces going from one truck to another, so 4 ounces, while not a big deal, can still be noticeable.
Once again, not saying I disagree with you, though.

Now why would I want something like that to happen when your self-inflicted public humiliation is much more humorous to watch?

Been skating a low pro deck for about two weeks now and suprisingly it still feels new! Boards usually go soggy on me after a week or so, but this shit seems to be legit. Backing it

finally took a trip down to deluxe and bought one. So far very good deck. I can sort of feel the advertised "faster pop" (don't know if it's a placebo effect though). Apparently it's due to a longer flat section of the nose / tail. Also went ahead and bought an 8.25 instead of the usual 8. Working out well for me

Yes, these boards are sick, skated one for almost a month whenever I usually break a board about once a week. The shape is solid too. On another note, I saw these in The Skateboard Mag this month, and it claimed they were hitting shops this month, but they came out in November if I remember correct, unless The Skateboard Mag is really off.

I had one and didn't really like it. I ride my trucks really loose and was getting more wheel bite than usual because of the shape. It seemed like the concave was a little more lowered out and flat right above the wheels which made it worse, might be worth considering if you ride loose. Wood was fine though.

Cracked mine after just a few hours skating flat ground, felt super flexible before I even skated it, and it made the loudest creaks just standing on it. Maybe defective or something.

Where did you get a hold of your deck? I got it straight from the Deluxe shop, so I can't really say whether or not other shops have them yet. They're sold online too.

Yeah dude, they have been oout since November. I got my at my local shop in Febuary, just thought it's weird that TSM would say they hit shops this month whenever they have cleary been out for a long time.

i'm on my second low pro board now and i really like it. it performs really well, but then again, so did other real boards before. my friend who got one was not able to kickflip with his and did'nt like it. i guess everybody has to try for themselves. i noticed a slightly quicker pop and shuvs rotate better under me, like they don't tend flip that easily and don't shoot out. but that?s about it.
i will get another one when they have better graphics for them, the first series was pretty ugly imo. in the end, it's nothing more than a well made skateboard. i like that they are not more expensive than r1 boards. also, if you put a low pro on a flat surface and spin it, it will keep on spinning(talkin about low center of gravity). i tried it with other boards, but no other deck would keep rotating. interesting...
