ok just want to start of by saying how stoked i am that there is a savier thread, one of the sickest brands to ever come out of skating. products, designs, ad's, and team were all on point. BA, staba, rattray, janoski, O'connor, plus many others ,suuuch a good team.

Had many pairs of the o'connor trainers, soo much better than the sb trainer. They had so much deatail to the little things like insoles, shit like that. such a shame nike had to shut it down.

And if ANYONE has ANY SAVIER'S IN A SIZE 13, PLEASE PM ME. specially ba's o'connors and staba's. ive been looking for stabas on ebay for years, but everything in my size is like 200$+.

if i'm not mistaken they were shut down by the feds for not paying taxes or some shit. i remember hearing it was due to the snowboarders who had taken over the company so it wasnt the original dudes who started its fault. the tim o'connor's with the story were called "the story" and the staba's were incredible and without them i would probably never have learned how to kickflip. i think it had to do with the pointy toe and amazing board feel. i wish i still had some pairs but i still have a few jackets a hoody and a t shirt.

so they took your old skated shoes and gave you a new pair.
Sounds like they were on a mission to make a perfect skate shoe.

haha, just playin'.

Anyone ever skated 'em?  I remember being given a pair when my old skate shoes were super thrashed.  Weirdest shoe brand ever.

i remember hearing they did demos where they'd hand out a pair to everyone.i also recall those tim o'connor shoes with the story engraved on the sole of the shoe.

This is true.  I was in Eugene, OR at that time when they rolled through.  If you brought an old pair of your skate shoes, they would hand you a new pair of Savier's, no questions asked.

Well if nothing else you've got a really great rating as a seller, so.........
Seriously, though. If I was just rolling in cash that I didn't know what to do with, which I'm not, I'd snap these up, encase them in glass and masturbate looking at them every morning. Guess I'll have to continue to be OK with beating off while looking at D3's. I kid, I kid.

I had these BA's. Loved them!!! One of my favorite pairs of shoes I ever skated. Bought them on sale at DLX.

a few weeks ago i was walking down the same street of a local skate shop that had closed in the previous months (SkateWorks RWC RIP), and had since converted into a bar. when i walked past the window they had a cardboard cut-out of the most interesting man in the world from the dos equis commercials, but I took a double take because set beside the dos equis guy was a cardboard cutout of Brad Staba from that Savier ad of him wearing that pink down jacket
http://skately.com/library/ads/savier-shoes-army-of-brads-2002

the cutout was so old and sun faded, i guess they just abandoned that when they moved and the bar owners kept it

You were there for that too?! Fuck yeah. I remember another time, right when they switched up their logo, a bunch of dudes rolled up to Churchill skatepark and gave me and my homies a ridiculous amount of stickers, no shoes though. A couple months later I saw a film called Yeah Right!, turned out that Brian Anderson was the nicest, coolest pro I've met to this day.

I had this pair of white and gum ones with the Savier logo on the side called the Everett. The things looked pretty bare bones compared to the rest of their designs, but were extremely durable and skated great. Probably one of the best shoes I've had.

Savier was also probably the first example of Rattray getting just shit luck with shoe companies. He got on and came out with a pro model pretty much right before they pulled the plug, just like with eS. Bummer bro.

HOLY SHIT!  So glad I read this thread and saw the saviers on ebay.  I think it's time to unload my surplus of size 8.5/9 saviers to the world.
