Anyone notice how many curbs get skated in lines in The Cinematographer Project? It's pretty cool.

Love curbs.  My main spot growing up was a super low insanely waxed curb.  The drill was to roll at it, throw whatever the hot impossible variation, pressure flip or other gross flip trick of the day was and see how you landed.  The curb was so waxed anything would slide.  The tricks were so wacky and out of control you never knew if you'd get 50, 50-50, lipslide, etc.  Fun times.  Also love bank to curbs/low ledges.

here in germany, when kids say "curb" they mean a shin-high ledge. and when they say ledge, they mean a hubba. no idea if it's the same in the rest of europe, but i will punch a random kid for that shit tomorrow.

We did a fundraiser here a few weeks back to raise money for our skateplaza, and we did the best trick contest on a single parking block. It was funny watching the way people skate them now. We gave the prize out to the only dude doing slappies.

Yeah, that really confused me when I first heard it too, but you get used to it.

I'm currently in the process of prepping a curb at my school for slappies and stuff. It kinda sucks, but I feel like it'll be worth it once I can get it to grind.

translates as "the sidewalk-edge".  and nobody would ever skate that, because they want to skate their "curbs". maybe it's because the only curbs that you can skate without wax are in california and nyc?

almost all curbs here in germany are made of some soft, chalky cement, you can't even wax them, your trucks will just dig into them because they are so soft. i have no idea why.

Not all curbs are painted or metal edged.  But yeah, curbs are the shit.  Thinking about it know, they're mostly what i've been skating lately.
