I'd say 147s personally. 149 just stick out a teeny bit; but thats enough to fuck with my head. trucks just a hair narrower than my board makes me feel like i have more control on any terrain. but thats just one opinion.

8.25/8.38 and indy 139s with bones bushings is the perfect combination.

I've gone up to 8.25 with 139s and I've loved it. Feels a bit wobbly, but I like it that way. Makes my board feel flippy-er. 149s will feel much more stable. The wheels will pretty much be flush with the board, but the nuts/axles will stick out 1/8 of an inch on either side.

just set up indy 149's on a 8.25 and they fit perfect and its really not noticeable enough to get annoying and they feel so much better, throw some medium bones in and your set

Was on the thunder 147 highs with a 8.25 deck for years, just switched to theeve 5.5 on my 8.25 like it just as much. Got a but confused with the 4 different sizes as they make a 5.0 for below 7.75, 5.25 for 7.75 to 8, 5.5 for 8 to 8.25 and a 5.85 for above 8.25. But as said before the bones bushings are a damn plus to have on the trucks, I was so used to thunder and the 145 to 149 system.
