Watching skate parts mirrored.

This is for skate nerds I guess.
I skate regular, and much like brian anderson demonstrated in something i can't remember, i really enjoy watching goofy-footed parts through a mirror so they appear to skate regular. I feel like I can relate to it better this way, i guess. It hits home without me having to think too much (i hate thinking).
Anyway, i googled flipping youtube videos and found this:
http://chirale.wordpress.com/2012/03/01/how-to-flip-horizontally-a-mirrored-video-on-youtube-quick-howto-on-google-chrome-13/
works great. I stayed up late watching heath kirchart skate regular footed. I recommend this.
edit: BA talks about doing this in episode 1 of his epicly later'd at 6:30

Imo, this is a terrible idea. Don't tell me you can't enjoy/appreciate a skater to the fullest if his stance is opposite of yours?

I understand the objection, and tons of my favorite skaters are goofy, but I've always thought that I can imagine the way it feels to land a trick better if the skater is regular. It resonates with my muscle memory. Might just be me i guess

Man I hate thinking too. Somebody was trying to tell me about Christ resurrecterring from the dead and he then he told me to think about that. I punched him in the belly and then ran away singing this song:
Yummy, Yummy, Yummy.
I got love in my tummy,
And I feel like a-lovin you:
Love, you're such a sweet thing,
Good enough to eat thing
And that's just a-what I'm gonna do.
Ooh love, to hold ya,
Ooh love, to kiss ya,
Ooh love, I love it so.
Ooh love, you're sweeter,
Sweeter than sugar.
Ooh love, I wont let you go.

Sometimes when editing I mirror stuff to give it a bit of a new perspective, because you tend to get kind of numb to how stuff looks and wheter the editing/filming works after watching it over and over again.

Watching mirrored parts would just annoy me. I was annoyed enough when AWS put out the ad of Heath 5050ing that giant hubba in This Is Skateboarding and the photo was mirrored. I wouldn't put it past Heath to do that switch, but it took me a minute to figure out it wasn't.

Reminds me of that King of the Hill episode.
Bobby does whatever mixing stuff.
and then that chick is like, "Bobby! You're making crank!"
and he's just like, "So what? I'm making a crank machine"
Then she's like, "Bobby, crank is drugs!"
and he's like, "shit"

good stuff. sandwich does look mad good. on the topic, if a skater is the opposite stance of you, just imagine that they are the mirror image of you.

Makes sense to me. I wouldn't want to watch a part the first time that way, but I kind of see what you're saying about resonating with the muscle memory. Might be cool to mirror some of my favorite goofy parts that I've seen a hundred times to try to get closer to them.
