a week before i started clerking i broke my foot popping ollies over a recycling bin.
1st day i go in with one of those plastic boots
DA looks at me and goes "o wow what happened?"
told her i broke my foot skateboarding
DA looks at me and goes "aren't you a little old for that?"
told her i was skating with the judge and he fucking shreds

....and that was the last time she spoke to me.

28.   i've taken up marathons and whatnot the last couple years, which is also rad (at least to me), so maybe i don't jump down stuff as much as i used to..but i'm still out there almost every damn day.  i can't just stop...i've been institutionalized.

i just turned 37 and now i can bluntslide so fuck everybody.

Dope. I got 3 years and 2 months to learn how to bluntside so I can catch up with you.

I'm old (in skate years) but at least I can say I'm a better skater than I've ever been. Which isn't saying much.

Actually, I think that says a lot. I'm 30 and I see kids at parks who can skate better than I can all the time. But like you said, I'm a better skater today than I've ever been. Progression is a huge part of skating to me, getting the satisfaction of being better at something than I was the day before. I don't really care how good I am relative to other people, but measuring my ability against myself is a great feeling. It's the day I start to recognize an inexorable decline that I worry about.

Lol.

Shut the fuck up, faggot!

I'd fuck you like you'd never believe, sailor.

Eyes spinning like drunk bees in your skull when I'm done with you.

I mean, when you're finished doing your tricks, and all.
