Jereme may not have any "real" friends at this point.  I obviously don't know for sure, but this reads like such a cliche rockstar burnout story.  Dude probably only has lackeys, groupies and sycophants at this point.  They're along for the ride, but when the money is gone, they will be too.  Then we won't hear from Jereme for a long time and then he'll turn up being a regular dude, maybe a little fat, still skating, but no one really cares too much and that'll be it.  Then some skater who is a film student now will make a movie about him in 20 years or so and it will be heralded as awesome and Jereme will be treated like the insane but lovable dude.  It'll basically be like a skateboard version of "The Fighter."

I enjoyed this read.  Two highlights, Lurker Lou is scared to be a dick to be people who actually might deserve it. After all the positivity talk, Rogers referred to people of 'value' (presumably financial) and then caught himself and said he'd even interview for valueless people.
