One of, if not THE, most enduring skateboarders ever.  He's still going harder than anyone else from his generation, and deserves all the wealth in the industry for it.

What does he do?  He sells his house, wears the same raggedy clothes over and over again and lives a modest life like any 30K year a year person does.  His marital issues may have had something to do with it, but I'm inclined to believe he did it in order to keep his companies and riders still living well... the Maloof win money alone would have let him keep his old place and behind the wheel of the old caddy.

Try and tell me JT, Dway, MC live as modest a life as this.

THIS.  IS. SKATEBOARDING.

I'm a big fan of Reynolds, but the whole "giving up material possessions" thing is stupid. It's easy to give up all that shit when you could just as easily buy it all back.

Mad love for Reynolds. But this is just the same talk over and over.

"When on a road of purity one must remind himself why they continue the path."
My brother has been a heavy addict for years, he has constantly stolen from me, threatened my family, and got locked up for 6 years
for robbing a gas station with his junkie wife. Time after time I would go to my brother and try to drag him to rehab but it
never worked. Today my brother came over for a little breakfast and some cash for his "water bill". When he arrived I was
watching this clip on Andrew Reynolds. I started it over and left my brother alone in the kitchen for 15 minutes. I came in
shortly after and prepared two western toasts and a coconut. We sat in silence as the toast began to grow soggy from butter.
I sure hope the video got to him.

I think its the fact that he actually went through with it that gets my respect. Anyone with money can think about doing it. He actually did it. And he seems happy with it and thats al that matters.

agree with you...Reynolds is untouchable and i have all the respect in the world for him being able to pull out of all that bullshit, but i've heard it so many times now. i wish people **cough antwuan cough** would heed his advice more since he's been there and done all that.

Think about it this way: Most responsible parents will work until the age of ~65. Reynolds ain't gonna be frontside flipping anything at 65 (lol fuck maybe he will). Anyway, even if he rakes in 100g's a year now, that shit is going to dwindle. He's probably just securing a future for his family. Cute daughter btw. Now he's the Boss at life. I wish I could be level headed like him.

The point is he doesn't need all that stuff to make him happy. It says a lot about a person who can feel fulfilled without having to resort to rampant consumerism and lavish life-styles
