New SLAP feature on Donny Barley's run owning a skateshop. LOTS of great new Barley footage in Part 2.

One of the best dudes. Certainly one of the most down to earth and cool people I've skated with that turned pro. That little blue bowl thing he skating is super fun. 5 minutes down the street from me.

It's a bummer that Foy went under, at least Donny is still ripping and taking care of his family.

Barley's the best. He's the classic "I'd rather watch him push around ollieing up and down curbs than anything [insert new hot am's name] does" dude. Best push ever.

I fall asleep to Eastern Exposure 3 on a regular basis. Did I say "fall asleep"? I meant "pass out".

I've never seen water in it. You have to clean it sometimes though if it rained recently and it smells like stinky mud. You just hop the fence and your in. I've never gotten kicked out either. Just fun to dork around and do a bunch of mini ramp tricks. If your leg ever flies though the fence you might break your leg though..lots of close calls  Undecided Rhode Island has the shittiest spots. That's a rare good one in my neck of the woods.

A favorite for sure, bummer to hear he had to shut his shop's doors, but his outlook seems pretty good.

Barley is the shit. Pretty much first skate footage I can remember seeing apart from those pro parts or whatever in Tony Hawk's pro skater was barley destroying skater island on an episode of concrete wave on the "extreme" channel. I must have been like 11 or 12.

Uh, that skating rink was awesome and huge before Barley came to town lets not rewrite history.

It was a fully functional skatepark every summer with a big miniramp and tons more ramps, ledges, pyramids, and handrails than the dinky little shit you see in part 1 of this video.

Pawtucket. Right up the street from  that shitty cumberland skate park maybe a few minutes on the right side. It will be on the right side on top of a grass hill you can see if from the street because of the fence around it. Just hop the fence and your good. You really can't miss it if you looking.

Silly boy, you must have forgotten about this part, which alone makes it one of the greatest videos of all time:

I'm about a minute into the second part and I'm ready to murder this whiny bitch covering the Smiths. Skating is awesome, though.

OK, finished it. I'm surprised to hear that his shop went under. You'd think his credibility alone would keep people coming in. If you lived in Providence, why would you buy anywhere else when you could go to Barley's shop?

One thing I noticed, his shop looked slick as hell and seemed to be in a pretty boutique part of town. I guess the retail space in Providence isn't exactly Trump territory, but you think he might have had better luck if he set up on a block with lower rent? I mean, maybe saving a thousand a month wouldn't have saved it anyway, but I'm sure skaters don't care if he's next to the Apple store or Louis Vuitton or whatever the fuck.
