I have never seen a momentum wheel in real life!! Are they still up and running? They had a great team at one point.

Usually I ride Darkstar wheels hand-me-downs because some of my friends ride for them - they are super hard to flatspot. I like them a lot and can recommend trying them actually.

Jivaros from Shrunken Head skateshop in Portland. You can get them online and they're the shit.

If you want a wheel that is near impossible to flatspot, then go with STF's. Great wheels, they pretty much last forever. I've had a set of 53's for almost half a year and they're only down to about 50-51mms, and I skate everywhere too.

Are Ricta wheels with the chrome core any good or is that just a gimmick?

satori 101 recycled. Ive had like 5 sets of them and never flat spotted. generally i like the feel of a 99 a bit better but if youre doing blunt slides, lip slides and bombing hills 101s are the only way to go.

I used to really like ricta's I dunno about the ones with the chrome core, but I had a cored ricta wheel just straight break on me once. Same thing happened to my buddy. This was around 2008 though, so I dunno if things have changed. I agree with alot of the dudes on here the STFs are great they go hard

Just get the cheapest wheels, only skate park, and don't do power slides or blunts.  Set for life.

I have to say Darkstar. They put alot of time and money into improvement and it actually work. The ones I have now are great, you might find it hard to believe but the are hard on smooth, yet soft on rough surface. As if they would change hardness depending on the condition of asphalt, no, really! They also keep the speed great and are light if you need that. Nothing to complain about, such a great wheel, you wount be dissapointed.

I actually won a set of Ricta Speedrings on facebook a month or two ago. I just set them up recently, they're not bad. Roll smooth, and they feel similar to STF's in hardness. No flatspots so far. I've got the 54mm, and I'm not mad at em.

All this talk is anyways pretty much just preferance  . For each 10 guys talking shit about a brand , you have 10 guys saying how good it is . Pretty much like boards . Some say the board brand is crap and broke within the first 10 mins and another will say its the best board he ever rode

satori 101 recycled. Ive had like 5 sets of them and never flat spotted. generally i like the feel of a 99 a bit better but if youre doing blunt slides, lip slides and bombing hills 101s are the only way to go.

as someone who currently works for satori and who has ridden over 10 sets of our recycled core 101s in the streets and hills of sf i am backing the non flatspot deal.

the only other wheels out here who people have suggested for non flatspotting have been oj and bones.
