They are pissed at that but cool with this?

This show has nothing to do with the Hell's Angels aside from the fact that it's about a motorcycle gang. No where is it implied that the gang in this show is meant to represent them, nor does the show infringe on the copyright of their logo. I'm sure they hate the people who walk around with t-shirts from the show that act like they're hard or in an MC, but there's nothing more they can do about that than they can do about dentists riding around on Harley's.

i believe that there was an old real graphic in the 90s which had the hells angels logo on it. apparently they went right into deluxe and just took them all.

i heard this after actually seeing one of the boards a few years ago displayed at a distributor and a guy there explaining the story a lot more thoroughly than i just did.

if these guys were so "badass" wouldnt have they skipped the suing and went straight to beating rob dyrdeks ass?
Then theyd have a shit ton of trouble/ negative publicity. If they go in with lawyers and the legal channels it makes them look legit, and not like the bunch of scary-rape-your-family bikers they are.

Not to mention, I'm sure there is way more money in suing MTV than just beating and robbing Dyrdek.

Any one remember the Dyrdek interview from Big Bro 12 years ago or so?

I clearly remember this quote, "If I get got, then that's the price of ice".

I wonder if he still feels that way?

Is Hells Angels even a legal corporation/group/business? What do they even list their revenue as?

from: HELL'S ANGELS MOTORCYCLE CORP., et al., Plaintiffs, v. COUNTY OF MONTEREY, et al., Defendants....
This action arises out of a March 1998 law enforcement raid of the Hell's Angels headquarters in Oakland, California.   Plaintiffs Hell's Angels Motorcycle Corporation and Oakland Chapter of Hell's Angels Motorcycle Corporation bring claims for violation of members' federal constitutional rights against a federal agent, Timothy McKinley,

and the companion suit to that is-  HELL'S ANGELS MOTORCYCLE CORPORATION, a California corporation; The Oakland Charter of the Hell'S Angels Motorcycle Club, Plaintiffs?Appellants v. Timothy McKINLEY, Defendant?Appellee.

probably get revenue from dues and hosting events

My friend actually did get his ass kicked by a hells angel, or wannabe or something. I guess they had beef with the bar so they went after a patron to make it seem like the bar itself was unsafe. Beat him with a pool cue. He ended up with a gnarly mark on his leg but was ok overall.

The more legit money they get the easier it is to clean the rest. Besides, would you want your logo used by every douchey wannabe company out there? Surely Dyrdek has a stake in the brand, his fingers are in every pie he can stick them in, so they see $$ as well as keeping their own brand from getting further tainted.

Sure the HA have their business side but to think they've gone completely soft is ludicrous. Growing up around Vagos and Mongols I'm not a fan of Hells Angels but anyone making fun of them about this would sing a different tune face to face. Shit, to this day no club in CA can have "California" on their club patch w/o being sanctioned by the Angel's. That alone says a lot.
