I work as a 911 dispatcher/call taker in a small county in Oregon.  I deal with cops regularly and I'd easily state that I'd never want their job.  A good majority of calls you get from the public are just plain ridiculous.  Things such as the habitual runaway.  That kid that runs away every other month, that we have to send a cop out on, and subsequently have to enter into the LE database as missing.  Sometimes that same kid will come back in the same day.  Then you get the calls about someone being harassed via text message.  Cops respond.  There are also the calls where someone is legitimately is in trouble, such as 4 guys beating the shit out of one guy, which happened a couple days ago.  The cops went out and spent a good hour trying to find those subjects, which one was found.  So if you get butt hurt about dealing with cops, think about all the horseshit they have to deal with on a daily basis.  I think that cop in Baltimore was way out of line for using force against that kid, when he really didn't do anything, but I'm not really sure that he should have lost his job over it.  Also, in general, cops are fairly easy to deal with (for the most part).  Treat them with respect, and they will generally do the same to you.  And never lie to a cop, as that is the #1 thing that pisses them off most.  Saying cops should be dead is just plain stupid.

I think most of them go into it because they want to help ppl . but alot of them get jaded about it . In the countries Ive lived in europe and australia Ive never had any real problems with cops. Even they times Ive been kicked out or asked the by the cops to stop or to do something  aslong as Ive been polite I could have a small discution about it .

While I dont think the US police is the best in the world or something I dont think they are the worst , many countries are so bad that the police torture you , shoot you at the spot , can lock you up for no reason and pretty much rule the whole country and comminting alot of the crime themselfs

I am not a teenager, nor an anarchist ( or what you probably think is anarchism). I agree that there should be something to keep order. I would say that peaceful force as opposed to the oppressing force would be better. If police were taught proper ways to deal with people then I wouldn't be saying something like I said. The sad reality is that most cops are not well versed in positive psychology and  often this can lead to a misuse of their authority. most of them are overworked in pretty much every city. that is probably due to how the system to deal with crime, vagrancy, homelessness, addiction and mental health issues being so skewed and not the most efficient. I will changed what I said to " we don't need an oppressive police force, what we need is a well funded police force that only is there to intervene when there are violent crimes." Violent crimes being assaults, rapes and destruction of public and private property. Most cops are not used for that. They tend to arrest young people ( convictions that stick more on black and latinos, but that goes out without saying)  on fucking useless drug charges and other petty stuff such as graffiti and skateboarding.  Also I do come from a third world country where the police was used to beat down political opponents to the leading regime. I have had an uncle be disappeared, and my father was beat up for not being a mindless drone.  Or how about the fact that the police violently arrested g20 protestors in Toronto in 2010, and humiliated the people who they had detained.

Corruption and abuse of power in any situation is going to piss people off whether it's a cop or any other profession.  I have had more good experiences with cops than bad and the rule of not acting like a pile if you don't want to be treated like one has worked well for me.  I have had a few cops pull shit like lying to my face, writing bullshit tickets that later got dismissed etc. but on the other hand I have had a few Mel Gibson style tirades (albeit mine were misogyny/racism free) that really had me deserving of a good beating but ended rather uneventfully.  Sometimes the ol' rage meter runs a little hot.  While I don't suggest lying to the police, it's always in your best interest to be guarded with everything that you say and stay calm for the best results.  In most cases it's their job to build a case against you.

Regarding the video, I think The Dude is getting off pretty light on this one.  If The Dude actually had a pair or the filming was done from a different angle, a decent attorney could make a strong case that those shorts make this incident a sexual offense against a minor.

I can appreciate you getting fired up about the topic but take a breath and read what I said.  I sure as shit wasn't advocating that I trust cops and support the current state of the criminal justice system.  There are a lot of people in the world and I try to give individuals a fair chance and treat them with respect if they haven't given me reason not to, cop or otherwise.  Optimally the world would be more comfortable with the whole live and let live deal and the absoluteness of the laws of nature but our social system is a little more complex than it was in the dark ages so I can appreciate that some level of policing is going to exist whether I like it or not.  I am off to go clean my guns and lick my own balls, please don't be a drama queen and call me out as a self-fellating Nazi Schutz-Staffel for it.

-If you can really help somebody out with little effort, do it. its always dope to give a helping hand & you never know when you gon need one yo'self. dont be stingy either. if a nigga smokin you out dont hesitate when he asks for a few of yo potato chips, even if they is yo favorite kind.

-Don't let these hatin niggas discourage you. for as long as you live you always gon come across some niggas who just wanna hate, throw dirt on yo name, put you down etc. Fuck em! Police are needed because we live in a diverse, stratified, capitalistic society. Kin-based societies do not need police, nor a central government. At the end of the day, though, we do. Do we need reform in our police force and criminal system? Of course. But to the users who say we could do without the police, that's just not true.
