Dude loves checks.  I also enjoy it when my employer sends me a check.  People need to stop acting like being good at skateboarding is some noble calling.  Obviously most young pro skaters aren't going to college and their knees, hips, ACLs, etc. are going to be blown by the time they're 30.  Gotta get money while you can.

This is about as weird as P Rod riding for Target.

I guess people get paid big bucks to make decisions like these, but I don't see how sponsoring a skater to rep an already well-known label does much for that company

Roc Nation does artist management as well as being a record label. Wale for example is signed to Maybach Music but is managed by Roc Nation. I'm assuming this pretty much locks Theotis in as the pro with the most music video cameos for years to come

Wayne getting into skateboarding brought this one on, shits gettin cool in the rap world.  And this is a dope sponsor.  I'd for sure get sponsored by a serious rap label/management company.  Probably make good money and it would be fun as shit to be in Jay-Z videos and chill with rappers.  But I'm a big hip hop fan so I'm sure those who aren't would think differently.
