I would find it awkward if someone left a company owned by someone like Reynolds or Jamie Thomas, but still rode for another company owned by them. Career full of awkward van rides and conversations.

I thought about this after the new Skull Candy team thread a few weeks back.

Baker/DeathWish van-

Lizard- "Hey Theotis, remember when we shared that opener in Baker Has A Deathwish?

Theotis- "Yeah, that was tight.  That Camron track was great.  It was so good I had to lip synch to it in the van."

Lizard- "Well there was this headphone company that started in my hometown and sponsored me forever, now you, Malto, Berra, and Koston showed up and I'm off.  This sucks."

I wouldn't be surprised as Altamont's on the ropes financially, likely didn't pay much from the beginning, probably why Drew's the only real big name on the team.

Everyone that is signed to RocNation gets a 360 deal.  That's where they put up front all the cost that you need, but they take a percentage off of everything that you do.  That's including if you have a completely different sponsor doing completely different shit.  Acting, Soda deals, clothing etc.   It's a fucking totally rip off except that you get marketed like crazy and can possibly make more money through endorsements because you're so over exposed.  I have no clue why they'd do that for a skateboarder.
