Downloading Series/Movies

I just realized I can play video from an HD through my xbox on tv. So I've been looking everywhere to find a good series to download, or good movies in a high resolution. Ever since this whole mediafire/megaupload thing I cant find shit anywhere? Where do you guys get this shit at? Feel free to post links in this thread. That'd be ideal. Thanks

http://www.warez-bb.org/ is great for DDLs and it's a lot safer than torrents, but a lot of popular sites (Megaupload, Fileserve, Filesonic) all shut down or turned off their sharing functions, so links may be a bit harder to find. However they have links for almost any type of film or series you want with varying resolutions and sizes. 

Torrents are easily available, but a lot of fake shit is out their just so you can get caught up (most of those letters then send are meaningless). I'd suggest http://kat.ph/, http://thepiratebay.se/, http://extratorrent.com/ or http://www.demonoid.ph/. If you can, try and get into a private tracker. All of the torrents have a healthy amount of seeders and you get pretty great speeds.



Also, if you're not using it, PS3 Media Server works great with a 360, and can stream MKV, H264, MP4, and any other type of files so you won't have to convert it to something else and mess with the quality of whatever you're trying to watch.

the wire is an amazing crime show, possibly the best ever. x-files is one of my favorites if you're down with sci-fi kinda stuff.

comedy wise, i'd say extras or eastbound and down.

if you're looking for a private torrent tracker, i got a ton of demonoid invites.


edit: also, look for mp4/x264 video files. I have good luck with them working on the xbox, being smaller files, and still good quality.

It should be noted that Xbox can be a little fucking shit head when it comes to compatibility with certain files. The best files, in my opinion, are mkv files. They don't play on Xbox. But there is this one awesome program I use called rebox.net that is super easy and simple to use. It converts the .mkv files to compatible .mp4 files. The only problem I've found is it won't convert AAC audio so you have to make sure the file you download has AC3 audio. 
TL;DR Download .mkv torrents with AC3 audio and convert to .mp4 with Rebox.net for maximum movie and tv xbox streaming pleasure.

Or you can look into that PS3 media server thing.
