That and being from different parts of the world and living in different parts of the country make them seem quite different. I've met both of them too, and they act nothing alike.

Having both of these guys and Steve Durante on Habitat is a good thing.
I think people forget how good Guru Khalsa is. If you did, here's a reminder.

Guru's part in Origin has a really weak song, the only time I can appreciate it is when the sound is off.
I honestly haven't seen to much Delatorre but Guru rips

Dela was on creation, not yellow. At a certain point in SF he got really amazing. He was always good, but he took it to another level. I feel like we are going to see a lot of amazing shit from him for years to come. His hill stuff is rad.

skaters who move to SF get exponentially better and gnarlier. for anoher example, look at ben gore.

Some dudes like Herrington make SF look awesome.. But I get pretty sick of it when it's like "kickflip a driveway to hillbomb, ollie a rail to hillbomb, nollie a driveway to hillbomb, grind something to hillbomb". We get it, SF has hills. Most dudes put out better stuff before they move there, and compensate for less gnarly/creative tricks by going faster.

Doing simple shit fast is one of the gnarliest things you can do. SF has some insane hills, and for that makes it one of the best places for crazy shit to go down. You eat shit on one of those nollie to hillbombs you're done for a while

This
And seriously those types of hills you have to land shit perfect or else your ride away will end up in you face planting and skidding down one of said hills. I feel pretty confident on a skateboard in most situations, but those type of hills scare me shitless, and anyone who does gnarly shit down a hill is alright in my book.
