had to tivo that shit to check out bastien skate, there were a few tricks i was especially syked on, shecks nosegrind revert from bank to bank across the quarter was awesome, nyjah wasn't really rubbin me the wrong way like in the past, obviously bastien was syking me up, and the few parts where i unmuted the TV to hear an interview or whatever was pretty humorous.......

but i don't understand how anyone could watch that and think that skateboarding should be on TV in that way

Forreal tho nyjah's style has only been getting better & better over the years. He lands bolts more often than not and knows how to properly lock into grinds. I'm not saying he has one of the best styles or anything but it's solid at the very least. It'll only get better as he gets older, he's still only 17 years old

I will agree with the bolts though.  He's fuckin' supernatural with his consistency and landings, I wanna say he's the second coming of some former legendary pro but I don't know if there's ever been a similar contest ruler for so long who also killed it in the street.  It kind of makes me sick.

I think Nyjah still skates like a little kid. There is a difference. Watch some old footage younger dudes when they were 17 and you'll see what I mean. The dude is gnarly though. Hopefully when he gets older his style will get better. I used to hate watching Sheckler but he kinda grew up and now I don't mind watching him. Don't get me wrong. I still fucking hate Sheckler but the dude does rip.

It's crazy to think Sheckler's only 22.  Not to say he's a veteran pro, but it seems like he's been around for ever as we've had to watch him grow from fucking training diapers riding for "Clockwerk" to now.  I am skeptical of him, but I somehow want to see him have the longevity to really push the envelope in big gaps etc. just for the sake of progression.
I totally agree about Nyjah, he's doing the most insane stuff with insane consistentcy, bolts pretty much 99% of the time, but I just can't help but still see the same tensed arm, tightened fist style as when he was tick tacking in games of skate vs. cole.  Not to take too much away from him, the dude fucking pulled a kf bs noseblunt slide on a handrail first try as the competition ender when he had already won...  it's just unheard of.

Watched the finals.  Top ten opinions on the matter.

1. Felix and Sal, you both are fucking terrible.  I mean monumentally atrocious.  I'm dumbfounded that people pay you, you suck.

2.  Nyjah is just too good.

3.  I get it, P-rod prays to his fucking hat every time.  Stop showing it.

4.  Scoring is wack

6.  The runs deal was okay.  The whole contest was mostly boring. 

7  I hated Chaz a little less.

It was free.  The filming was decent.  Bastien's bail on the double flip over the whole pyramid gap thing was sick.  I mean realistically how could you get much better.  It is on ESPN.
