The Amazing Spider-Man - Trailer 2

0:59, Someone finally got skating right in a big Hollywood movie. Oh ya, that's because the director, Marc Webb, is Berra's boy. That being said, for a reboot of a 5 year old franchise, this doesn't look like anything drastically different.

First Peter goofy-footed ollies over something as tall as him with no ramp in sight, then--unless that was the best switch 360 flip I've ever seen--he regular-footed 360 flips a gap. Oh ya, totally nailed it bra.

I'm going see the movie, but while I'll be feeding myself Milk Duds with one hand, I'll be face-palming with the other when that scene comes on.

HA noticed that right away too. It looks like they haven't changed much from the last franchise, apart from the aesthetics of it and some mods of the suit. It does look darker though, and the Lizard could be fucking awesome.

I'm pretty excited, this trailer got me pretty stoked which the previous 2 didn't do as much. Andrew Garfield looks perfect for spiderman, far better than Toby Maguire, i'm stoked.

I don't know how anybody figures that this isn't a departure from the last franchise. I can't be the only one that noticed that the story is completely different. Also, it's not a reboot of a 5 year old franchise either. The first Sam Raimi Spiderman came out 10 years ago.

That's like saying The Cranberries have been a band for 3 months because their last studio album came in out in February. The last movie is 5, the franchise is 10.

The Cranberries didn't reboot "Zombie." Still, too soon. But I don't care.

Shut up, Reagan. I don't know why you're bringing this up as if I'm wrong. Everybody understands the idea that a franchise that is as fresh in the minds of audiences as Spiderman should be rebooted is clearly what Saucy is talking about. I was merely correcting the numbers and you know it.

In fact, since you decided to be an asshole about it, I'll go ahead and say that a reboot is a good idea. Tobey Maguire doesn't want to be Spiderman any more and the last sequel left a bad taste in the mouth of fans. Changing the actor playing the main character while trying to maintain the same continuity is tricky at best, so why try it when given the chance at a fresh start? While it did perform well at the box office, Spiderman 3 had clearly had its pitfalls which may have lead to a loss interest in another sequel. With the departure of the staring actor, this is the perfect opportunity to start over and garner more attention for a new mysterious project about a character that is still fresh in the mind of moviegoers. In other words, it makes sense. Just because some people may think it's wrong to reboot a relatively new franchise due to some misguided sense of franchise immaturity, that doesn't make the choice to do so unfounded.

From the trailer the movie looks good but there is no way that the skating will usurp the glory of Rob Dyrdek's role in "Righteous Kill".  Billy Shakespeare would have shat his knickers to behold the thespian might of that tragic bump to head shot scene...
Rob Dyrdek headshot from "righteous kill"
.

As a kid I liked the Amazing Spiderman because the writing in the comics I read always portrayed him as a sarcastic reluctant hero that was occasionally annoyed with the world and I could relate to that and the artwork was pretty good.  In my opinion Toby McGuire was too much of a pussy to really pull the role off.

I think someone on Slap had this classic as a sig for a while, it's the first thing that I think of when someone mentions Spiderman...

Damn, that was a huge mistake, so no MJ in this one? Well at least they did not make the same mistake of fucking her up. She could pass for a drug addict or a prostitute in the other Spider Mand movies

The only mistake they made in the last iteration was not having a nipple scene in all three of the movies.
