Knew about him before I ever even skated.
Pretty underrated game to be honest. What other skateboarding game had Arto? Not to mention Solid Snake and giant spider boss battles.

i hope they really get into the switch to workshop then back to flip. not just the standard "i felt at home on flip so i went back" routine, because even if it is that simple, it's not that simple.

Girlfriend's home town is about an hour away from where he's from, so I keep telling her it's a good idea to call our currently impending kid Arto, but she's not having it - says it reminds her of a annoying fat stinky dude in her class in school. Guess I'll have to show her this then -

I'm pretty sure he was in Tony Hawk Under Ground.
Also, that was a good episode.

The company's about to go under so beg back who's going to wield the most expensive contract of all former riders??? That will surely get the company out of the red. Yeah, sounds like good business.

I don't really care about him switching board sponsors... I do remember reading him saying he was supposed to have a part in Mind Field AND Extremely Sorry though. Maybe they just combined the two. He is riding a flip board in, at least, the first trick (nosegrind) in Mind Field. I'd also like to hear more about this hot action.
I bet Templeton was bummed that she shaved.

I remember him blowing up after those contests. I remember realizing he was the same age as me and thinking "How the fuck..."
I hope they talk about that one super gnarly thrasher interview (where he crooks that 18 rail on the cover, and backlips it in the interview). Before that he was a respected pro, but I remember everybody I know freaking out about how gnarly the photos were in that, nobody I knew realized he was
that
good.

Switch front board HH 16... That was a bit of a game changer.
Now on a much heavier note, I do not even know how to put this so I am just going to say it... Flip died when, well you know what. It is the god damned truth.I wish I could pull an apostle EF and cry with Rowley. Let him know at that time he and Flip team were gods, but it is over. Let it go down man. Let go. Please. Do not give up, but just move on. Create something new. I dunno. Its just that I used to admire him so much. That vans shot of the 50 50 at the LA convention center was on my wall for years and well GOD DAMNIT just let it go. I can't take it anymore. It gets worse and worse. Maybe I am wrong, but it hurts me to see it. I know I am just a fan, but the first Sorry might have very well saved me in High School. I looked up to the Flip team and it gave me purpose in life. Now it just reminds me of how shitty things can turn out. I dunno what I am saying. God dammit.

Just remember what ol' Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, and the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big ol' storm right square in the eye and he says, "Give me your best shot, pal. I can take it."
