Of course she's not some die-hard skater that knows everything and does everything it takes to earn Slap board respect. But if she was a kook I wouldn't have selected her as cohost. For real.

Then don't even stress. You have to admit the whole "first slam ever" thing is pretty funny though.

I dont really see whats so great about riley hawk. All his tricks are obvious. If reynolds really wanted someone doing original shit from birdhouse clint walker wouldve been a way better pick up.

Dude go watch Sheep Dogs part 2 and u will see how badass Riley is.

Oh it was def. funny. She used my raw notes from a vert dude ... I know that's not the first slam on tape, so I never woulda asked that. I adjust what I say as I go ... however she read the notes as they were cuz she had no clue. Totally not stressing it. As for the Brink .gif ... Amazing

Dude ... I want to live to tape another show!

But I thought about that while watching "Waiting for Lightning" the other night.

To address all the Erica talk ... Erica is more legit than you some of you guys seem to think. She adds a lot to the show and she is nicer to look at than I am ...

Of course she's not some die-hard skater that knows everything and does everything it takes to earn Slap board respect. But if she was a kook I wouldn't have selected her as cohost. For real.

I mean, shit, don't all you guys have chicks that your crews chill with who are actually cool? We always did when I was younger.

Is there a chick out there who will never catch shit for not being the most "legit" in our industry? If she was out there skateboarding people would hate on that too. I mean there are barely any dudes out there who don't catch shit. So I think she's doing a pretty good job.

And no, we have never hooked up.

PS: Greyson Fletcher ...

PPS: Nuge and Lizard scheduled for this Friday ...

dude, yeah, but that was like a hundred years ago

I actually did hit another skater in the face with my shoe once at a demo doing a shoes fly off kickflip but he was cool with it.

Val is such a dreamboat

Oh, and Riley's part came in Happy Medium 2 was before the Lakai ad, no?

Either way, I thought both were tight. And I'm stoked for his Baker part

rieley being on baker is definitley nothing but good fucking news
uesince seeing some of his first few clips in the last year n a half or so ive enjoyed his skating alot, his style to me stands out and am looking forward to watching his career and skating develop.
lets just hope its a few years before he gets the hollister logo tattoo'd below his eye like a true baker/birdman crossover

dude go back and look at riley's recent footy. i agree w what reynolds said, the first video i saw of him i bugged out because i was totally thinking dudes gona be soso and get hookd up cuz of his dad. ur crazy if u dont think this dude has his own unique style that deserves to get hooked up.
when i see riley skate i can tell his influences are the baker crew, gravette, trapasso, all the real creative motherfuckers

You know what? In your own words, what makes his style unique? Give me some specific tricks youre thinking of. This is a 5 point question so think hard because your answer really counts.

i really want to, but i dont have the time to post and analyze footy, i just remember watching his part a few times and being psyched. (he hauls ass and back lips or front boards a really long curved ledge) i cant remember exactly but it was jizz worthy, i do know that.
plus reynolds agrees, and most others do too in this thread so suck it

Has anyone else noticed that skaters who get started on Birdhouse go to Baker later on? (i.e. Figgy)

Not really, because Reynolds Greco and Lenoce left birdhouse to start baker under blitz dist. Dicksons on deathwish.

For example these two ads featuring Grecs back when B-House wasn't for 5 year olds.
