Hey Slap - I had to post this in the whatever section because it doesn't really fit in with anything else. One of my close friends is working on this charity idea called PlayforPencils.com

It's a trivia game you play and ever right answer goes towards paying for school supplies given to different charities. It's in its humble beginnings so give it a try and give your feedback; be gentle Wink. Flex your nerd skills and see how far you can get.

Thanks!

this is some cool stuff.. passed the link on to m'friends. got a funny feeling it's gonna blow up real quick.. people are generally pretty down for exerting minimal effort for good causes.

just a few things, though:

- i've got ad block on. i racked up a few pencils, but haven't seen a single ad. is this gonna lead to some sort of situation where, if more people with ad blockers play, there's gonna be a deficit between number of pencils vs. ad revenue? might wanna be careful with that.

- different skill levels would be cool.

- more categories. maybe a general interest category or two for less academic types.

those last two are pretty obvious, anyway. everything else seems spot-on.

This is really cool guys, I like the dynamic of playing and raising funds and awareness for school supplies.
The only problem is I need a pencil sharpener, and the skill levels don't differentiate between different
platforms for skill building. The site doesn't come with one of recent updates  and If I could just sharpen
one of the pencils I would keep on playing. Any Advice? I might need to switch browsers or download Java.

Would you mind if I posted this on Reddit? It seems like something that would become pretty popular on there but if it gets too big it might crash the site.

Got to 3 pencils on English, it seemed like the question difficulty was pretty much irrelevant, and I saw a few repeated questions in the short time I played. Honestly though, the only real complaint I have is the font, I found it a little distracting/hard to read at times. Cool idea, though!
