allways liked this part , heck the whole vid is really good . Lots of nice skating , and chill ass songs . The song works perfect with the skating in this part . And the switch bs lip , switch bs smith are just siiiiiiiiick . Those plastic barriers are amazing

It's true. Wieger Van Wagagngnineuirouiojfdljasdf does those variations and he looks like a 1300s Scottish warlock.

I remember watching this as a kid and not at all understanding how difficult any of the tricks were. I watch this part nowadays and I'm just blown away at how tech Karl was in 2001. Original style too

I mean remember when Appleyard won SOTY in '03 and was on an absolute tear? That lead to like 6 years of chillin.

Best part in the video and probably my favourite of that year. The line at 1.15 sums up that flow that makes Karls skating so interesting.

Alone was a great video. I can recall spending many hours at my friend's house watching this video when it came out.

thats just good skateboarding right there. janoski's part too...that whole video was awesome. am i the only one that really likes the way stefan does his frontside flips? they're not the conventional "good" way to do a frontside flip, but i really like the way they look.

I have to admit I never really respected him like I should have.  I am not saying I did not understand and appreciate his talents, but after seeing this part.  This man is truly a legend.  Gotta love how he did not come out 180 because it was easier.  A switch nose grind and back smith would have been so sick, especially back then.  But what does Mr. Watson do?  He takes it to the next level.  God dammit I wish I would have seen this part years ago.  I still cannot get over that switch noes grind revert or whatever.  I mean he didn't do any of that partial front side crook nonsense.  He locked in so proper.  If you are out there Karl, I am boosted for any new footage you put out.

Just remember what ol' Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, and the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big ol' storm right square in the eye and he says, "Give me your best shot, pal. I can take it."

It was an opener in a 411. 411 openers were like covers back in the day. Everybody saw them.

I thought at first the white ledge that he switch nosegrinds at 1:38 was the huge one at la canada (westgate 5-0, john fitzgerald front board) that I yelled at my screen.that would have been unfathomable. yeah.
