man there are alot of dvs haters out there. personally there newer stuff never really caught my eyes, but pre skate more, and even around the time skate more released i thought they were the shit. the ones i had skated awesome too.

shit that first getz shoe was off the charts, second one was even better imo. all of dills shoes were the shit, huf and jeron wilson were putting out good pro models too. not really sure what happend with that era and epic team they had, but it seems around the time dill left (not saying its because he left, just the time period) they were in brand/image limbo. same way i feel about globe, but that double rock they just put out saved there asses. watchin that shit made me wanna by globes, haha just sayin

When a huge corporation comes into an industry that is entirely populated with small businesses they have GIGANTIC advantages and tend to take the smaller companies out due to their economic size and strength, not because of anything having to do with the brand's quality.

The worst 2 pair of shoes i ever skated were Nikes for sure. And they were present from from friends.... Never bought one pair...

A related story.
 The amazing thing is back in the early 00s when i was at school i was the only guy wearing skate shoes. I told my friends that if you dont skate, shoes made for skating last forever. Most of them wore nike because well its the most advertised shoe in my country. Usually they destroyed one pair of nikes in 1 year - 1,5 years. I clearly remember some friends of mine switching to Vans and they were amazed that their shoes lasted for 3years minimum.

 Shoes back then were much durable for sure.

DVS shoes are FAR better than any lakai's, ive had 2 pairs of lakais and have regretted buying both of them after about 3 hours of skating, because they are made from inferior quality materials and are badly or cheaply produced compared to ANY other skate shoe ive had. and come to think of it, any NON skate shoe i happen to have skated in (eg Nike FC's).
im not gonna stress about this just yet seeing as DVS seems to stil be around, but it does seem like they have kind of lost direction with their marketing / team ideas in recent years. i for one really enjoyed skate more and dudes dudes dudes .
