For Paul it isn't switch anymore, it is just how he skates.
Yes, it is a gimmick.

that doesnt change the fact that he's still doing extremely difficult tricks
so if dylan reider were to switch back tail shuv out across & down a hubba like p-rod did, he should get a higher score because he isnt as good a switch skater? yeah, ok

There's definitely an anti-nyjah bias among the judges although even they can't not score the crazy shit he's doing really high.
When Nyjah was accepting the trophies/check Rob almost seemed bummed and unenthusiastic. I don't think it's possible to set up the contest so that Nyjah doesn't win everytime and with each progressing series we see time and again that Nyjah is too strong.
I think the other riders getting oddly high scores here and there is part the balancing act , sometimes it's blatantly unfair while at other times it gives us the illusion that someone else might win.
All in all it'd be cool if the runs were longer , 45seconds is clearly too constraining. If they keep doing the "runs" they should put more QPs and Banks so the riders don't have to stop and could get more tricks in.

I mean remember when Appleyard won SOTY in '03 and was on an absolute tear? That lead to like 6 years of chillin.

P-Rod is regular foot at this point.
When you skate regular the entire contest and all your hardest tricks are done that stance and you can't even do them goofy then you can't call it switch anymore.

Dylan wouldnt do a trick as gay as a switch back tail shuv to begin with.

the only weakness nyjah ever had was when they had the ledge section but that was boring and they cut it out.

Paul has done plenty of regular stanced tricks. He can do a lot of switch, and did a lot in this contest, but he's not like Sammy Baptista, Danny Montoya, Brian Emmers, or Keenan Milton (not saying he didn't rip, just name one memorable regular trick he's done, its all switch)

How does that negate $40,000 being a shitload of money? He made more money in a weekend than a lot of people make in a year.

Sluggers you're such a Mark. Just say you don't like the way Prod skates. It's pretty well documented the Prod can skate both ways equally well.
