What happend to the adidas campus vulcs??

I bought a new pair two days ago. The newer black and white one with the gum bottom sole instead of the original white and with the blue colors on the tongue logo. I thought i was getting the same shit as the old ones i had, but after two days of breaking it in i realized it was quite different. I checked the insoles and it was nothing like the old ones. The insoles on this one are like foam and kinda thin instead of the thicker gummy rubber of the old ones. So is adidas cutting costs or i got some 2nd rate shit?damn, I wish i had saved the old insoles..

i havent had the new ones yet but im pretty sure they slimmed the rubber on the soles down and pretty much made the entire shoe thinner

i think someone mentioned it in another thread, but i always thought those first busenitz ones looked better than any other ones. i think the stripes were closer together or something

This. I didn't like the old gummier ones. They flattened out an felt like they had no protection so I switched them out for some king foam insoles in my campus vulcs.
I have a pair of Ronans with the new foam type insoles. I haven't skated them yet so I don't know how they will be.

I believe that adidas really is cutting costs with there skate shoes, using less than quality materials. I had 2 pairs of the busenitz campus vulcs and a pair of the green and white ones. I then bought some of the newer versions of the campus vulcs and noticed they became bulkier. The tongues were no longer made in suede, the busenitz and the green and white ones had a neoprene-type liner (felt really nice, very quality), the insoles were much more cushioned, and the suede seemed to last longer and have a nicer feel to it. The newer versions have a cheap felt-like interior, what seems like fake leather for the tongue, more padding, and what seemed to me, a thicker sole.
I also recently bought a pair of the adi-ease roger collaborations and the area with the stitching on the exterior of the heel cup tore on both shoes, not because of the stitching itself ripped, but the suede was so soft that it tore from the shoe flexing from pushing.

in relation to what was posted above, does anybody else think adidas blow out way too fast? like their suede is thinner than normal?
my first pair of busenitz didn't even last three weeks before i tore through them (only skating two or three times a week), and my last pair of Silas', which are the most comfortable for me, didn't even last a month.
on the flipside my current pair of vans have lasted well over a month and not even close to being torn through.

I just got a pair of the latest Gonz adi ease today.
Its good that I didn't buy them to skate in, cus they feel like they would last about 5 minuets.
The stripes and heel piece are made of felt and feel like they would rip just touching them. And the insole isn't even the new foam type. Its just thin piece of black foam that is stuck in.
