This is like Greco's 1000th cover.

Steez, great shot, and the spot looks straight haggard.

Fuck yeah!

Yea but if you look closer, the actual "runway" is pretty clean.

I wonder if Jim has re-filmed any tricks that he did before his Dickies kit. Although it would be kind of odd/hilarious to see Jim's Deathwish part as being some kind of Dickies/crodd dresser/ Rambo mash-up.

I'll never understand why anyone (outside of the few token burnouts sitting around venice) cares about duane peters.

Can't deny that is a fabulous photograph though.  Dumpster is street... cool.

Ok it's a nice cover.  Nice, no more no less.

It'd be cool to see a study on skateboard covers. Like how many covers the same 20 guys get in a year and then how many fresh faces we are exposed to.

Weird spot for a dumpster , DIY!

There is more Bieber coverage on Slap than one would expect from a bunch of manboys arguing the minutiae of rollerboard stunts. Actually now that I type that it kinda makes sense.

Needs a feather Boa - I still prefer my Jim Greco when he looked like he was in the New York Dolls:

Found this old thread from two years ago about Greco - The evolution of Jim Greco:

I'll never understand why anyone (outside of the few token burnouts sitting around venice) cares about duane peters.
Then you are stupid. The man is a beast, contributed in huge ways to skateboarding's progression, the whole time has been skating his own way and not giving a fuck what's cool, and most of his tricks look like total chaos that can only result in a slam, but somehow the next thing you know he's rolling away full speed. If you can do a 450 wheel spin to slash revert, then talk shit, until then, face up to the fact that Duane is and always will be a legend.

Nosegrind yank-ins. Official trick of late career mini-comeback covers.

I do like the Greco cover more than the dill one tho. Jeremy Klein reference was spot on. Those dickies look like they were just opened before that try.

They don't call him the master of disaster for nothing. He is insane to watch skate, I saw him at a pool contest in Strawberry Ca, he rolled out of the pool but got wheel bite and came to a stop about 2 feet from the lip, with out hesitation he no tail ollied into the pool, got speed wobbles on the way down, then on the next wall threw up a perfect invert revert, one of the craziest things I have ever seen someone do skating.
Fuck the haters!!

I doubt any variation of that dialogue occurred.

yeah, a "comeback" for greco would indicate that he fell off or something.  he's never fallen off.

Nope, he never went anywhere (coverage wise). He's always been around.
