I would think the reason someone like Heath retired was to avoid ending up like Duane. I can kinda understand why people like him. Not so much outside of the so cal surf punk world but to each his own. I've only seen him in person once and he was snaking kids at an under 14 contest because there was a mag photographer there and he wanted to get his picture taken. It was embarrasing seeing the contrast of kids super excited for their first contest and someone older than their grandparents essentially ruining it for them to get his own shine. It was pathetic. That said,unless your Gallagher, doing the same 5 tricks for 30yrs is not impressive.
