Is it just me or is it kinda weird or a current sponsored pro to have a guest model for another company?

I know krooked does it but they are all personalized art and wall hangers.  As opposed to what's basically a tweaked logo board.

I think any company that had a chance to have guy mariano's name on one of their boards would make a guest board for him

You'd think they would do something a little more personalized, but still pretty sick.

This is coming from the guy who actually paid money for Zero decks.

+As potent as my original comment was, I have a friend who's most recent deck was a Sk8Mafia and It wasn't all that. I wouldn't doubt that Girl wood is better than theirs.

I couldn't resist taking the jab though!

yeah nigga ive bought many different boards in my day, therefore i know what im talking about when i say that their decks arent sub-par compared the typical skateboard. neither of those companies are the best, but they are still not shitty. you can pick up a bad deck from any brand due to whatever reason. you just on some hatin shit tryna be funny, but you not even funny.

in my own experience zero & skatemafia boards both keep their shape longer but chip easier. girl's dont chip as much and have good pop but can start flexing & losing their shape faster. that was only with one that i had tho, the other two were pretty solid

Cliche also made a Gonz guest board. I think guest boards are a pretty sick idea, but they should be done pretty infrequently. Seems like that would make it more special.

I've been riding Girl & Choc exclusively for the last 10 years - love the shapes and always had a solid lasting pop.

I don't get the reason for that crappy fame they have. Often I tried my friends' boards - dlxs and dnas -, and couldn't been able to feel that superior quality. Even though other kids boards - jarts and enjois and other dwindles -, are easy to feel uncomfortable in.

Maybe I am way to used to them or it's the extra time shipment to europe that makes them special   Wink

Pros having guest boards on other companies is just like wive swapping, a lot of these pros were born in the 1970s too, so it's basically a hippy lifestyle choice that was ingrained in their perverse upbringing.

It's good to know that despite our differences, everyone can agree that dwindle wood blows.
